Oh, 'Em, Gee!

I don't know what is going on but my face/ears are killing me.  Ever since being teased about my nut intake, I increased the amount I consume... now my face, ears, brows, chin, etc are red and ITCHY!  If I were truly allergic to nuts I am sure my throat would swell, but man it started a few days ago and now it almost burns.  I look like Rudolph but my entire face is red!  I guess it could be some wind burn too but it started before all the wind yesterday.  OR maybe it is because I cheated a few times? (all written in my blog pics)  My worst cheat was last night.  Yesterday my daughter turned 7.  So I bought cookies for her softball team for after the game.  (I am her coach, I love it!)  Anyway, they were the kind that have that really thick cupcake frosting with sprinkles.  So, we are on the way to her game and I couldn't resist.  I ate one, all while trying to not let my three kids see in the car on the way to the field.  It was sooo good, I HAD to eat another one.  This time I ate it really slow so I could enjoy it.  I ate the first one so fast that it shouldn't even count as a cheat. :o}  So I thoroughly enjoyed the second one.  yada yada yada, after the game, my daughter is passing cookies out ( I bought extra for all the siblings too) well she passes them all out and forgets to keep one for herself. Then, my 4 year old son drops his before eating it.  Both are crying, all parents and kids are looking at me.  I felt bad but what could I do, we were out of cookies.  As I am getting in my car it hits me.... I ate my kids cookies... what a BAD mother!  Then my oldest says, Mom, you ate two cookies on the way here, way to go!  That made me feel so much better!  Thanks Dom!

great post ;) priceless, actually. Numbers are looking pretty good here, despite the cookie monster activity! Don't worry, it will only take 7 yrs for the cookies to pass...hahaha

Naughty Nacci! Your description of those cookies made me want one, now! You are not a bad mother for eating your kids' cookies. You are a GOOD mother for sparing your children from bad food. i'm sure your childrenZ see it this way, too. ;) I am easing up on sugar, and all foods with sugar, like dark choc, only for a little while, as an experiment, to see how putting zero sugar into my body makes me feel.

You are funny - thanks for the story; it made me smile... and thanks for your comment on my blog, it is good to know that the efforts I have made are causing some visible changes. I went to Publix and got vanilla biscotti and hazelnut coffee - maybe that will help with the no cremora

I hear you girl. It has really done the same for me- I was looking back on some old training/nutrition logs from about 4 years ago and I weighed 20lbs more! That's what it's done for me :) Thanx for the words. You are doing great, for sure. Nothing like a great cheat to get you motivated! ;)
